These courses are provided by the federal government procurement agency responsible for guiding the implementation of Section 508, the General Services Administration (GSA).
Please note that the training courses offered in this web resource are intended to be usable only by US federal government staff (i.e., those with .gov, .mil, or .edu email addresses). However, the course content can be accessed by anyone (non-federal users cannot access the system to issue certificates of completion).
We must caution users that the content of the courses offered on this site pre-date the 2017 Section 508 ‘refresh’, and so they refer to the past version of the Section 508 Standards. In fact most of the courses appear to be very old (for example, the course materials for designing accessible websites are from 2001). The content of the courses and associated materials do not actually meet recent GSA guidance for electronic document and website accessibility.
